Join a cohort of Detroit’s best cross-sector leaders in Pittsburgh to dive into a 2.5 day, in-depth experience on the city’s infrastructure, social and business innovation, community building, arts & culture institutional design, impactful public-private partnerships, sustainability practices and more.


The program’s goal is for each Detroit-based leader to return to the city with new practices, frameworks and relationships to apply to their work in Detroit so that Detroit can continue working towards being an equitable and thriving city.


Programming will include:

  • Immersive experiences featuring Pittsburgh’s history and current context of development with speakers from organizations like the Heinz Endowment, Hazelwood Green Robotics Center, The Hill District and more
  • Conversations with the Office of the Mayor and the Office of the County Executive, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and more.


A detailed agenda and participant guide will be provided in advance of the trip. All programming is subject to change.


Cost: $1,800

  • Cost includes all programming, meals and refreshments for 2.5 days.
  • Scholarships are available. Please email [email protected] for more information.
  • Upon completion of registration, you will receive an invoice for payment.
  • Payment should be received by July 7, 2026.


Accommodations: Hotel block at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel will be made available but paid for individually.


Transportation: Transportation to Pittsburgh is the responsibility of the individual. Carpools will be organized for those interested.
